  • Brown bear hunting and weather on the Alaskan peninsula during the spring for the month of May is normally very pleasant.Temperatures range from the Low to mid 40's during the day to the low to mid 30's during the evening .You may however arrive at your hunting destination with snow very much apparent on the surrounding mountains and low lying valley and shaded area's during the first 2 weeks of May.Light breezes are common most of every day. There have been a few instances of the last remaining winter storms trying to slow the upcoming spring but for the most part you can expect fairly favorable weather with a few rainy days in between these nice day's typically.Daylight is growing longer providing nearly 18 hours per day in the spring and allow's much longer day's in the field. Fall weather in October provides temperatures up to the low to mid 40's during the day and down to the low to mid 30's during the evening and has been at times cooler in the high 20's.This fall weather can be most unpredictable opposed to more predictable spring weather. It Can be sunny one day and then gusting 50 mph with rain the next day.Expect any type of weather during the fall season but more likely with some Rain and wind with the possibility of snow. Sunny and partial clouds every now and again but not as often as most of us prefer. The daylight hours for hunting during this time of year is limited to 8-9 hours in the field per day.

Outfitter's comments: Having some of The best sought after habitat and bear concentration area's on the Alaskan Peninsula is paramount for the best chances and opportunities for the Ultimate Trophy brown bear.WE have permits for both Dept Of Natural resources land use and private Exclusive sole use permit area's on Native corporation lands. We utilize both of these permit area's with great efficiency. Both area's have good solid concentrations of brown bears and support the opportunities for the ultimate trophy bear. Hunters can be assured there will not be any crowding or over hunting in these area's while hunting for The ultimate Brown bear. We accommodate 4 bookings a year. All 4 hunters will arrive on the same day and then fly or hike to there designated hunting camp and area with there guides.WE have a strict booking philosophy and there will not be any hunting of these area's prior to hunters arrival. Opportunities for a chance at a record class bear are very realistic. We will not focus on the highest concentration of bears in any area but rather the concentration of the few largest bruin's in a any given area.
