Kate Callaham from South Carolina, had great success on her Cody, WY Outdoor Dream Foundation adventure. Kate is recovering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but that didn't stop her from doing something she wanted to do.

Kate's Pronghorn hunt was a challenge using the spot-and-stalk method. Thanks to her guide, Lee Livingston, Kate had several encounters and experienced the disappointment every hunter goes through--animals too far, on the move and will not stop, and other Pronghorn either in front or behind the buck she wanted. Eventually, she singled out a buck, squeezed off a shot, and missed. Fortunately the buck gave her a second chance, and she make good on the opportunity.

Kate’s Mule Deer hunt was a true adventure into the wilderness by horseback--a challenge for even the most experienced hunter. Kate handled it well despite the steep mountain trails and river crossings. The weather was an additional factor--strong winds and snow showers all-day long. Kate's guide, Wesley Livingston, is an experienced and skilled guide and put her on a few mountain Mule Deer, but Kate was not able to put one on the ground until the last day, when she made a stalk and a great shot.
